@weatherwest Democrats: WAKE THE FUCK UP. Stop pandering. Stop saying bipartisan. Shut down the government. Stop letting nominees waltz through their rubber stamp confirmations. Do not budge on cuts. They've cut enough - in violation of the law. Republicans need to see that they can't just obliterate congressionally established agencies. And the general public needs to be aware of how this does indeed impact them.

Weather.com and your favorite weather apps won't exist if we shutter NOAA. They don't have the resources or expertise or the motivation to do so. Governments exist not to turn a profit, but to serve the people. Sometimes that means spending on things that don't make sense to you.

Our elected 'leaders' are letting this hostile takeover happen with barely a whimper in protest. If the president controls the executive in full with no oversight and can withhold and divert congressionally appropriated funding as desired with no regard for science, health, lives, or the law let's let Musk hack away at your jobs cause you sure as fuck aren't doing anything.
