Föderation EN Di 04.03.2025 16:17:36 and by decentralized, I don't mean git, I mean the cjdns routing protocol that it operated on. It was an overlay network similar to Tor but for a meshnet topology. I started socialnode on hyperboria, and thats how I got into the fediverse back in 2013 😎 |

Direct implementations like done by https://codeberg.org/celenity/Phoenix such as in Androids https://github.com/ironfox-oss/IronFox Browser. Phoenix works by leveraging Firefox's AutoConfig & Enterprise Policies functionality, and is installed on top of the standard, official Firefox installation. This allows them to go above and beyond what a simple user.js file can offer, without the security risks a fork can introduce. |
