might have to checkout librewolf, since chrome removed v2 extension manifest support.

where is cjd and werewolf when you need them, they would be my ideal partners for a libre fediverse web browser

to give some context, we forked gitlab when it first came out and added public account support and make the first decentralized github alternative called gitboria that ran on cjdns back in 2013.

and by decentralized, I don't mean git, I mean the cjdns routing protocol that it operated on.

It was an overlay network similar to Tor but for a meshnet topology.

I started socialnode on hyperboria, and thats how I got into the fediverse back in 2013 😎

@dansup Out of all the firefox forks out there, my recommendation would be @zenbrowser

@dansup Librewolf is great. Nevertheless it is a fork where security updates are added with delay. Direct implementations like done by codeberg.org/celenity/Phoenix such as in Androids github.com/ironfox-oss/IronFox Browser. Phoenix works by leveraging Firefox's AutoConfig & Enterprise Policies functionality, and is installed on top of the standard, official Firefox installation. This allows them to go above and beyond what a simple user.js file can offer, without the security risks a fork can introduce.
