They're already replacing people with loyalists, they've already told people to quit or be fired, Musk already has wrested control of a number of federal departments and locked out its duly appointed members. FBI and DOJ are compromised. Project 2025 is in full swing. This is a coup.

Indeed it isn't too late to reverse things, but let's be clear, we're in the "we have to reverse what they've done" stage already. Project 2025 is moving this fast

@davidho I’m afraid the Republican Party is lost. Anyone who is not a fascist or an enabler of fascism has already left. But still, a majority of Americans did not vote for this (Harris voters + non-voters). We can stop this but it will take our collective will and resolve.

@davidho Democrats aren't going to step up. This isn't an attempted coup. The coup has happened and we're seeing the results.

It may not seem like the coup happened already because no one tried to stop them, but that's my point ... Dems will not stop fascism. They don't know how to do that and maintain their donor class, who are not anti-fascists.

We're actually going to need to save ourselves.
