@mcc I was just thinking this morning about a time machine attached to an alarm clock, where you hit snooze and instead of you and the whole world advancing by 10 minutes before the alarm goes off again, you advance by 10 minutes relative to the world - you get 10 minutes to sleep without time advancing around you so the alarm never appears to pause.
