I have a close friend who wanted us all to go to New Zealand at the end of this year. My first reaction when she brought it up a few weeks ago was "You do know we'll be a pariah state by then, don't you?" She's not very engaged with politics so was puzzled. Last week I told her that a. planes are falling out of the sky and b. I'm not sure I'd be able to get back into the country. So I ain't going. It's a shame because she won't be able to travel much by 2029.
