@jf_718 and their annoyance won't last. Often, when these kind of policies are implemented, ppl experience the better life they bring and after 3-6 months consider them ' normal ' and will be very angry when they are taken away.

@jf_718 Agreed. I am extremely done with caring about people's worry over higher taxes. Make this stuff free and let the assets of billionaires and millionaires above the point of $999,999.99 pay for it. The entire world would improve radically. Maybe not overnight, but within, say, a week.

In a better structured society there is not even a need for taxes, the social industrial production can pay for that. As long as we don't have greedy exploiters of the workers.

@jf_718 here’s a nice bonus. One of the headaches in public transport is integrated ticketing so your ticket might cover a journey that includes train, bus and ferry. Now, if you make public transport free guess what? You get integrated ticketing at no cost! All done, all sorted. The same (free) 'ticket' gets you onto everything. 😆

@jf_718 isn't a political strategy of appealing to the good natures of our voters and adding in their selfish interest in more people in buses rather than cars, and in housing than highways and sideways, more likely to win than a strategy of criticizing?
