My friend Derek Tearne caught the tail end of Atlas Comet last night in Aotearoa New Zealand. He'd moved to a rural area four years ago to indulge his astrophotography hobby and it's certainly paid off.

But geez, as spectacular as the comet is, it's almost overshadowed by the satellites. I wonder if his hobby is, like the comet, at the tail end of its life.
