I didn't realize how fucking useful the word 'fucking' is for eliminating AI

Turns out, it's really fucking useful!

image shows that putting 'how to clean plexiglass' into a google search field returns an AI result for how to clean plexiglass

@kims What I am thinking is what is the length of learning loop with this and all the following workarounds 😄 Like does it take a week, month or a year until we need to switch the magic words 🪄

(As a side note: some services also allow use of “-ai” which works the same way. Until it does not.)

It may be the way to ensure we're speaking with fucking people instead of fucking corporations. Manners be fucking damned.

@rpsu @kims the thing is: those fucking leeches we call "corporations" would like their so-called artificial intelligence to be advertiser-friendly, and a language model that keeps saying fucking pissing godfuckingdamned shitty crap shit is not particularly attractive to advertisers :)

Never really had a massive problem with the results. I used to use Kagi as backup, but when my 100 searches ran out, I hadn't used it often enough to justify buying 100/month or whatever the lowest subscription is.

@marjolica
Yeah, 'the top search result' these days always has the unspoken addendum 'for me on this search engine'.

Incidentally I went to turn it off *again* and noticed "For now, AI-assisted answers are only available in the U.S. (English) region." so if you're always running it with localisation turned on that might explain it.

sadly "fucking present participle" gives Google entirely the wrong idea :-(

Hello. Replace "AI" with "LLM". AIs are very useful. LLMs much less so given the power they eat.

Edit: Some examples of very useful AI, are speech recognition and Text to Speech engines. Imagine you have a video and want to show it to a deaf. Speech recognition comes handy by auto transcribing the voice into text. TTS is useful when integrated into a screen reader for blind people to work with computers, and phones.
