It's also a clownish argument, because it tries to simultaneously portray Putin as a statesman with legitimate strategic concerns and an easily-manipulated fool with no strategic awareness. |

I'm not accusing you of making the bad argument. I have very little power to help, but understand: there's no stopping a war by negotiation based on factually nonsensical claims about why or how it started. There's no chance that a settlement with such a shaky foundation will survive the next implausible pretext to break it. |
