I found this slide from today's @nextcloud Hub 10 presentation interesting, and I can totally confirm it.
It always comes to mind when I see people marvelling at the progress of a new project, and viewing older projects as slow-moving.

At some point, all projects end up like this: the vast majority of the work is maintenance, and only a small fraction is new development.

A blue slide with "Nextcloud Files" title and a grey/white pie chart where ~95% is maintenance and ~5% is features.

Hello from a new instance. 👋

I did some thinking over the weekend. I decided against very small instances because of the technical problems associated with them, I also didn't want to go for something like mastodon.social because the decentralization aspect of is important to me.

In the end I decided for :vivaldi_blue: social.vivaldi.net. Not too big, not too small, data located in Europe, professionally run, moderation seems to be reasonable, I was able to reconnect with all my lost contacts. And last, but not least I share values with the people behind @Vivaldi. It's a bit of a reunion for me because I used to be active in the MyOpera community and that's where I started my blog.
