I think there's one big unanswered question for those of us trying to drag Labour parties - and other formerly social democratic parties - back to the left side of the centre-line;

What's the new growth?

What's another simple everyday word, that ordinary non-policy-wonk people can understand, that all centrist parties can claim to be pursuing for the next 40-50 years?

I just upgraded to F-Droid 1.20.1, before I saw the advice to wait for 1.21.1. Do I need to be worried, or do/ not do anything?

I also see the vulnerability warnings on Fennec F-Droid and Mull, telling me to uninstall. Do I really need to do that, or just avoid using them until patched updates are shipped?

The app itself, yes. But as @lps says it uses email protocols, which are older than XMPP, and even older than HTTP!

I've been using Delta for about 5 years, with an email account I was already using with friends/ family. Many of them try it, because they can use an existing email account.

FYI I've been trying to get people I know to use XMPP since it was called Jabber, before it was standardised at the IETF. With almost no success.

I really want the Fediverse Ideas repo to be an ActivityPub Actor that people can follow to get each new submission (and maybe comment?) in their fediverse feed. This would also allow us to boost ideas we like, to get more eyes on them. I guess this is just waiting for ForgeFed functionality to be folded into Forgejo and deployed on the @Codeberg instance?

Hey @matrix folks, I was thinking today about the way some Pirates have used Mumble for general assemblies.

The architecture allowed for a open access voice/text room, where anyone present could type messages in real time. But access to the voice channel was limited to a spokescouncil, and anyone else wanting speaking rights needed permission from a chair/ moderator.

Is this use case supported in any existing Matrix software?
