New (and hopefully, last until it becomes a W3C Standard) Candidate Recommendation of Portable Network Graphics (PNG) today.

An important new feature is Coding Independent Code Points (CICP) to identify the colorspace. I was thinking of blogging about it.

@eeeps I agree. Plan to explain what it is, why it helps, and how widely it is supported. (And of course, what it can't do).

Also, to solve the chicken and egg situation, to promote a new tool to add cICP to existing files.

@svgeesus If you can tell me that CICP is simpler or more understandable than ICC I am 100% onboard without knowing anything about what it is.
