@CP93 @avuko @drahardja That's how it's always been. The legislature passes a horrible mess of law, then relies on the judgement of law enforcement to decide when the violation is serious enough to prosecute and when to turn a blind eye or let someone off with a warning.

And law enforcement doesn't have to be fair in their decisions. The cops "gut feeling" for serious crime is often just a sense for who looks suspiciously dark skinned or too low in social class.

The CIA is going to be less effective at defending the US against its enemies, but more stupidly brutal and repressive than it has been since the Vietnam and Iraq wars, because an aspiring fascist is starting wars of conquest.

Less espionage (Cyber Safety Review Board is gone), and more Abu-Ghraib in Panama and Greenland, and that is all on the republicans.

@PatrickoftheG @drahardja I admit I am biased a bit. I used to work in IT, and seeing a dozen login attempts on my computer every minute 24/7 from chinese ip addresses and daily phishing emails from Asian addresses was a long weary slog.

@drahardja the leopards will be eating good soon enough. "b-b-but I thought the anti-dei stuff only affected minorities and non-binary people" they are sure to say. It's too late for regrets though.
