We aim to support our users wherever they are. We will continue to support DEB and RPM as before. This is making it easier for those that are on Ubuntu or using Snap as their preferred package on other Linux distributions.
We have also gone out of our way to support Linux on ARM, to support Raspberry Pi and similar projects. Overall we want to support Linux everywhere.

@jon @Vivaldi I'm not sure why there is a touch of negativity here and there around Vivaldi released as a snap. Isn't Linux about choice in how it's used? Plus, there is a noticeable move to Linux happening because of recent questionable updates to Win and Mac, and those people generally go for Ubuntu or Mint, and initially use them how they're used to. So apps just being available in an app store and installed in a click serves those type of users. I see this as a good thing at the right time.

I think we need to work with the Flathub team on this. We are eager to work this out with them.

That would be the goal.
