@funkyidol @moshidon doing alright! it's just that the upstream project (mastodon for android) had so many changes that i couldn't keep up with - time passed, i never found the energy to complete merging the changes into my codebase, so i eventually gave up

@laxla I don't know if that's possible on Github, but I'd like to keep the legacy of @megalodon up as our parent app, even if not technically in the rewrite. They taught me many things about android ui design, the development workflow and how to be an open source developer. I am proud to continue it's legacy forward

I genuinely think the Mastodon app on Android is so close to perfect, but it *needs* the timelines feature from @moshidon.
Being able to pin a list or hashtag (or timeline of multiple hashtags!) and swipe over to it from the main view is just 🤌
I have an IRL list as my main feed, plus I pin hashtags for conferences/events. So good.
Hopefully when Moshidon gets synced back up w/upstream it will feel as nice, but I'm currently missing a bunch of the newer upstream tweaks when using Moshidon. 😣

💾 Ein kleines App-Empfehlung-Update ist fällig: Da ich @megalodon jahrelang verwendet und auch hier empfohlen hatte, teile ich nun den untenstehenden Toot.
Mittlerweile benutze ich auf meinem Android-Handy meistens @phanpy. Wer nicht (nur) eine Progressive Web App (PWA) wie Phanpy, sondern einen nativen Client will, hat aber reichlich Auswahl. Neben dem offiziellen Mastodon-Client kann ich weiterhin auch @Tusky empfehlen, gesponsert von @Tutanota aus #Hannover. 😉
