I need some advice about my #Pixelfed account.

I installed Pixelfed app on my Android phone & set up an account on @sloanlance@pixelfed.social. Later, on my desktop computer, I opened pixelfed.social/login to log into my account. I was surprised one option is to log in with Mastodon. I tried, but it said username "sloanlance" was already used. I thought I should delete my account and recreate using Mastodon account, but later I read I couldn't use that name again. What should I do?

@megalodon's "News" feature is a huge joke. The contents of the news screen hasn't changed for over a day. I expect there to be some changes at least hourly.
