@darth unfortunately it's not something you can disable in the web client :( and yeah, i imagine the reasoning is what you mentioned in the post, but 9 times out of 10 i DON'T want to remove people from the conversation

@lashman I remember Twitter used to be similar but they improved the reply function a few years ago. Perhaps this kind of solution isn't even server side but a part of client UX? Not sure.

Assuming, they list all mentioned people in the reply draft as default... then this would be reasonable for me, especially in a thread, that is limited to mentioned people only.
